About Us

Welcome to the history of Quadra. It's a fascinating journey filled with many memories, so sit back and enjoy as we take you through the years. Don't forget to check out the Pictures and More Pictures tabs, where you can find pictures of us from the 80's to today—feel free to laugh at some, or all of them, because we certainly do!

March 1981:  Moe Dubois, Marc Dubois, Rick Carnell, and Brian Bissonette form the band Quadra.

June 20th, 1981:  Quadra plays their first gig at a friend's wedding.

Fall of 1982: Guitarist Rick Carnell gives notice, Guitarist Mike Trombley responds to a classified ad in the Vangaurd Press, and starts rehearsing with Quadra in December of 1982.

February 1983: Mike's first gig with the band at The Outpost in St. Albans.

Summer of 1985:  Drummer Brian Bissonette and Bass Player Marc DuBois give notice. Drummer Matt Trombley and Bassist Jeff Trombley join Quadra. "To many Trombleys"  said Moe!

Spring of 1987:  Bassist Jeff Trombley gives notice and Marc DuBois returns as Quadra's Bass Player.

Summer of 1991: Quadra goes to Archer Studios in Fort Ethan Allen to record their album "Pianist NV". The song "Somehow" gets airplay on local radio stations, and the song "Gravity Girl" becomes a crowd favorite. Our Soundman at the time, Dean Labrie, recorded and produced the album and wrote the song "Lawn Sale and Garage Sale Girl" about his Mom.

Spring of 1995:  Matt Trombley gives notice and Drummer Dean Labrie joins the band. Dean was our soundman prior to this.

Fall of 1997:  Drummer Dean Labrie gives notice and Drummer Marc Grenier joins Quadra.

Winter of 1999:  Drummer Marc Grenier leaves the band and Matt Trombley returns to Quadra.

December 31, 2000:  Quadra makes the decision to take a break. We don't know at this point if it is a permanent break or not.

January 2001-May 2002: Mike Trombley joins the band "The Naturals", a band playing many weddings and clubs. The Naturals disbanded 2 years later. Moe DuBois joins "Sideshow Bob", a great club band with a great group of crazy musicians. Matt joins the band "Full Circle" playing clubs and functions locally. Moe and Matt leave those bands to form the band "Ride Molly" in January 2002.

Summer of 2002:  Quadra decides to bring the band back together!!! Our first gig was a cruise to celebrate WIZN's 20th Anniversary. Quadra enjoyed an 18 year run at this point before the next changes occured.

Spring of 2020:  Matt gives his notice due to the COVID outbreak, his hearing, and the world at large. Drummer Tim Glidden joins Quadra. A shout out to Tim as he was much younger than us, and put in a HUGE effort learning material that he was not familiar with. We had a great 5 year run with Tim!

Spring of 2025: Matt Trombley rejoins Quadra.
